The Ritual and Its Weight

Varahi Homa is a fire offering to Varahi Devi, the Dandini — the general who leads the Divine Mother's forces. Where other wealth rites invite fortune in, this one is asked to stand at the gate. Tradition places Varahi over the treasury: she is invoked when income arrives but never stays, when debts multiply faster than they are cleared, when a livelihood is blocked by people or paperwork you cannot see. Her worship is traditionally performed at night, in the still hours, and the fire is fed with the fierce, grounding substances her tantras prescribe.

Devotees turn to this homa at turning points — a loan that will not close, a business whose receivables keep slipping, a salary that vanishes before the month does. The tradition prescribes the rite for stability rather than sudden gain: earnings that hold, obstructions that thin out, a household that can plan again. Our priests perform the full sequence on your behalf at the Yagna Ashram and telecast it live, so you can sit with the fire from wherever you are.

Why Devotees Book This

The varahi homam benefits named in tradition cluster around one theme: what you earn should stay with you. These are the reasons devotees book the rite.

Steadier income

Offered when earnings arrive in bursts and vanish, and you want the flow to settle into something you can count on month after month.

Movement on debt

Traditionally taken up when loans stall, EMIs pile up, or a settlement keeps being pushed forward, so the burden can begin to lift.

Protection of what you hold

Varahi is the guardian of the treasury. The rite is prescribed to shield savings, property and business capital from leakage and loss.

Obstructions in livelihood

For work that is blocked by rivalry, delay or hidden opposition — the fire is offered to clear the path back to your own effort.

Recovery of what is owed

Devotees in trade and contracting book this when payments due to them keep slipping beyond every promised date.

A household that can plan

Sought for financial stability at home: predictable expenses, a settled mind about money, and the confidence to make long decisions.

Sacred Timing

Varahi is a night goddess. Her homa is traditionally set in the darker hours, and these occasions are held especially potent.

Vaarahi Navami and Ashtami tithis

The eighth and ninth lunar days, particularly in the waxing fortnight, are classic days for Varahi upasana and her fire offering.

Nishita kala — the midnight watch

Varahi worship is prescribed for the still hours after nightfall, when her Dandini form is invoked with full ritual detail.

Navaratri, especially the Ashtami night

During Sharada and Vasanta Navaratri, Varahi is honoured among the Mother's commanders, and the homa carries particular weight.

Tuesdays, Fridays and Ashlesha or Bharani nakshatra

These days and stars are favoured for Varahi's rite; our panchang team can also align a date with your own birth details.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Varahi Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Varahi — the goddess of knowledge itself

Varahi is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Varahi Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

Yes. Varahi is worshipped in countless homes. Tradition asks for care rather than restraint: keep the murti or yantra in a clean pooja space, light a lamp regularly, and observe simple discipline around the shrine. Many households prefer an evening lamp and mantra rather than elaborate daily ritual. If you have received a Varahi yantra with your homa, place it in your pooja room facing east or north.
Bathe, clean the shrine, and light a ghee or sesame-oil lamp in the evening. Offer water, kumkum, red flowers and a simple naivedya — curd rice, jaggery or fruit are commonly given. Chant the Varahi mantra or the Varahi Ashtottara as many rounds as you can hold with attention, and close with a namaskaram. Sunday evenings and Ashtami are favoured. The fire ritual itself, with its specific samagri and sequence, is left to trained priests — that is the part we perform for you at the Yagna Ashram.
Yes, a Varahi photo may be kept in the home shrine. Give it a clean, undisturbed place, ideally in the pooja room rather than a living-room wall, and light a lamp before it. Avoid keeping it in bedrooms or near footwear. A photograph asks for the same simple respect as a murti — regular lamp, occasional flowers, and a settled mind when you stand before it.
Varahi Homa is a Vedic-tantric fire offering to Varahi Devi, the boar-faced commander of the Divine Mother's forces. Her domain in the tradition is guardianship — of the treasury, of the boundary, of what is rightfully yours. The homa's significance lies there: it is offered not merely to attract wealth but to hold it, to loosen debt, and to clear the obstructions standing between your effort and your earnings.
Tradition prescribes it for steady income, relief from mounting debt, protection of savings and business capital, recovery of payments owed, and the removal of hidden opposition in livelihood. Devotees also seek it for a settled, planning-capable household. The rite is a prescribed remedy in the shastras, offered in faith — no outcome is promised.
Anyone carrying financial strain may have it performed on their behalf — salaried professionals whose income does not hold, business owners with stalled receivables, families working through loans, and those beginning a new venture who want the ground firm beneath it. There is no restriction of gender, age or country. You book online and our priests perform it at the Yagna Ashram in your name and gotra.
Varahi's worship belongs to the night. Ashtami and Navami tithis, the nishita (midnight) watch, Navaratri nights, and Tuesdays or Fridays under Bharani or Ashlesha nakshatra are all held auspicious. Share your birth details when booking and our panchang team will fix a muhurat suited to your chart.
The varahi homam procedure begins with sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra, followed by Ganapati pooja, kalasha sthapana and invocation of Varahi into the yantra. Agni is kindled and consecrated, and the priests offer the Varahi mantra with ghee, sesame, red flowers, honey, navadhanya, herbs and the specific dravyas her upasana prescribes. Purnahuti, aarti and prayers for your prosperity close the rite. The whole sequence is telecast live to you, and prasadam with an energised Varahi yantra is couriered to your address.
Choose your package on this page, enter your name, gotra, nakshatra and sankalpa, and confirm. We fix the muhurat and send you the live-stream link before the rite. Priests perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram in Coimbatore on your behalf — you do not need to travel. Prasadam and the energised yantra are couriered worldwide at no extra cost. Booking is open from any country, and packaging details, including varahi homam cost, are shown for your region on this page.
