The Ritual and Its Weight

The Swarna Akarshana Bhairava Homa is a fire ritual addressed to the form of Bhairava who holds a golden vessel. Swarna means gold. Akarshana means drawing near. Tradition places this rite where money comes and goes without ever settling — where earnings arrive but leak, where old loans keep their grip, where the household never quite reaches steady ground. Ghee, grains and the deity's mantra go into the fire while the priest calls your name, your nakshatra and your gotra.

Bhairava is not invoked here as a fierce guardian alone. In this form he is the giver, seated with Swarna Akarshani beside him, dispenser of Kubera's stores to those who ask with discipline. The tradition frames the swarna akarshana bhairava homam as a prayer for two things together: inflow, and the wisdom to hold what flows in. It is performed for you at our Yagna Ashram and telecast live, so you may sit with the fire from wherever you are.

Lord of the worlds who lifts devotees out of calamity, Swarna Akarshana Bhairava, drive poverty far from me — salutations to the great Bhairava.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees turn to this homa when money moves but never rests. Here is what the tradition prescribes it for.

Steady inflow

Offered by those whose earnings arrive in bursts, seeking a rhythm they can plan around.

Relief from debt

Traditionally invoked when old borrowings sit heavy, for the resolve and the means to close them.

Wealth that stays

Bhairava is asked not only to draw gold near, but to keep it from leaking away unnoticed.

Business and livelihood

Sought by traders, shop owners and the self-employed before a new venture or a difficult quarter.

Household stability

Prayed for so that the family's daily needs, fees and obligations are met without strain.

Freedom from money anxiety

The rite is offered for a settled mind around finances — clarity in decisions, less fear in the accounting.

Sacred Timing

Bhairava's hours are his own. These are the days the tradition favours for this homa.

Ashtami and Kalashtami

The eighth tithi belongs to Bhairava. Kalashtami in the waning fortnight is held especially potent for his fire rites.

Tuesdays and Sundays

Bhairava's weekdays. Devotees often choose these for the swarna akarshana bhairava homa when a specific tithi is not available.

Fridays and Dhanteras

Days turned toward Lakshmi and Kubera. Chosen when the prayer is chiefly for inflow and the settling of accounts.

Kalabhairava Ashtami

The Margashirsha observance of Bhairava's appearance, kept by many families as the year's principal day for this worship.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Swarna Akarshana Bhairava Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Swarna Akarshana Bhairava — the goddess of knowledge itself

Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Swarna Akarshana Bhairava Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

Bathe, face north or east, and light a ghee lamp before an image of Bhairava. Offer red or yellow flowers, jaggery, milk and a little honey. Chant his mantra a fixed count each day — 108 is common — and keep the same time daily. Many families keep a swarna akarshana bhairava pooja at home on Ashtami and Tuesdays. Where the full fire ritual is wanted, priests perform the homa on your behalf at our Yagna Ashram and stream it to you.
He is one of the many forms of Bhairava, the aspect of Shiva who guards time and thresholds. In this form he is golden-hued, four-armed, holding a vessel of gold, seated with the goddess Swarna Akarshani. He is described as the dispenser of Kubera's treasury — approached not for hoarding, but for sufficiency, for release from debt and for the strength to use wealth rightly.
Pray simply and regularly. Sit before the lamp, name what troubles you — the loan, the unsteady income, the fear — and then chant. His root mantra asks him to drive poverty away and lift the devotee from difficulty. Tradition asks for discipline over grandeur: the same seat, the same hour, honest speech, and a share given to those with less. Combine daily japa with the periodic homa.
It is a Vedic fire ritual in which the mantra of Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is offered into consecrated flame along with ghee, grains and traditional dravyas. Its significance in the Finance and Wealth tradition lies in its dual prayer — that wealth be drawn near, and that it remain. It is classically prescribed for households facing debt, irregular earnings or long financial strain.
The tradition prescribes this homa for steady income, relief from the weight of old debts, stability in business and livelihood, and the retention of wealth that would otherwise drain away. Devotees also undertake it for a calmer mind around money and clearer judgement in financial decisions. The rite is an offering and a prayer, not a guarantee of any particular outcome.
Anyone carrying financial strain may have it performed on their behalf — salaried people whose income never quite settles, business owners in a hard season, families working to clear loans, or those beginning a new venture. It is also offered as a yearly observance by households who keep Bhairava as an ishta devata. There is no bar of age, gender or country.
Ashtami tithi is the classical choice, with Kalashtami and Kalabhairava Ashtami held highest. Tuesdays and Sundays are Bhairava's weekdays; Fridays and Dhanteras are favoured when the prayer leans toward wealth. Our priests fix the muhurat against your birth details and the running panchanga, and tell you the date and hour before the homa.
The priests begin with sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra, followed by Ganapati puja and kalasha sthapana. Agni is invoked in the kunda. Swarna Akarshana Bhairava is installed and worshipped, and his mantra is offered with ghee, samidha, black sesame, jaggery, honey, rice and traditional herbs. Purnahuti closes the fire, followed by deepa aradhana and prayers in your name. Everything is arranged at our Yagna Ashram — you need bring nothing.
Book online from any country on this page. Give your name, gotra if you know it, birth star and your intention. We confirm the muhurat, then telecast the homa live to you so you can sit with the fire wherever you are. Prasadam and an energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide, free of shipping cost.
