Runa Vimochana Homa

Also spelled Runa Vimochana Homam

ऋण विमोचन होम

The fire that cuts the knot of debt. Offerings placed for Runa Vimochana Ganapathi, so what you owe loosens and what you earn stays.

  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony
  • Muhurta fixed from your own birth chart, confirmed within 24–48 working hours
  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

Debt is not only a number in a ledger. The tradition calls it runa - a binding, a weight carried in the chest at night, a pull that keeps money moving out faster than it comes in. The Runa Vimochana Homa is the fire rite prescribed for loosening that binding. Ghee, samagri and the debt-cutting mantra are offered into the kunda while the priests name your gotra and your sankalpa, asking Runa Vimochana Ganapathi to sever the cords of obligation and let a settled, steady flow of income take their place.

This homa is also known as the Runa Vimochana Ganapathi Homam, and when Sri Lakshmi is invoked beside him as the Runa Vimochana Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam - the remover of obstacles and the giver of wealth worshipped together. Householders have turned to it for generations before clearing a loan, after a business slump, or when income arrives but never seems to remain. Qualified priests perform the runa vimochana homam at AstroBhava's Yagna Ashram on your behalf. You watch the fire live, wherever you are, and prasadam with an energised yantra reaches your door.

ॐ गणेश ऋणं छिन्धि वरेण्यं हुं नमः फट्॥ O Ganesha, most excellent one, cut away my debt - to you I bow.

Why Devotees Book This

The tradition prescribes the Runa Vimochana Homa for those carrying financial burden. These are the intentions devotees place in the fire.

Relief from Debt

The core sankalpa: that loans, dues and long-standing obligations loosen their hold and move toward settlement.

Steady Income

Offered so that earnings arrive in a regular rhythm rather than in unreliable bursts.

Money That Stays

For households where income comes in and drains away, the rite is prescribed to close the leaks in the flow of wealth.

Obstacles in Earning

Ganapathi is invoked as the remover of hindrance - in delayed payments, stalled deals and blocked recoveries.

Peace of Mind

Debt carries worry with it. Devotees book this homa to hand that anxiety to the fire and act with a clearer head.

Steadiness for the Family

Performed with the whole household named, so that financial stability becomes the ground the family stands on.

Sacred Timing

Priests at our Yagna Ashram fix the muhurat by the traditional reckoning. These are the windows most favoured for the runa vimochana homam.

Sankashti Chaturthi

The fourth day of the waning moon belongs to Ganapathi and is the most sought muhurat for this homa.

Shukla Chaturthi and Tuesdays

The bright-fortnight Chaturthi, and Tuesdays generally, are held favourable for rites that seek release from binding obligation.

Hasta and Mula Nakshatra

These stars are traditionally chosen when the sankalpa concerns settling accounts and steadying the flow of income.

Sankranti and Fridays for Lakshmi Ganapathi

When the rite is performed as the Runa Vimochana Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam, Fridays and month-transition days are preferred.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Runa Vimochana Ganapathi Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Runa Vimochana Ganapathi — the goddess of knowledge itself

Runa Vimochana Ganapathi is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Runa Vimochana Ganapathi Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

Runa Vimochana means release from debt. It is a Vedic fire ritual in which offerings are made to Runa Vimochana Ganapathi with the mantra Om Ganesha Rinam Chhindhi Varenyam Hum Namah Phat - a direct appeal that the cords of obligation be cut. The tradition regards runa as a binding that affects not just finances but peace of mind, and prescribes this homa to loosen it and invite steady, settled prosperity in its place.
Devotees book it for relief from debt, for income that arrives regularly rather than erratically, for money that remains in the household instead of draining away, and for the removal of obstacles in earning - delayed payments, stalled work, blocked recoveries. It is also taken up simply for the calm that comes of placing a heavy worry before the fire. The rite is what tradition prescribes for these intentions; no outcome is promised.
Anyone carrying financial burden: those repaying loans, business owners in a lean stretch, families whose earnings never seem to last the month, or people beginning a fresh financial chapter and wishing to start unencumbered. It is also performed on behalf of parents or children. At AstroBhava, qualified priests perform it for you at our Yagna Ashram - you do not need to travel or attend in person.
Sankashti Chaturthi is the most favoured day, along with Shukla Chaturthi and Tuesdays. Hasta and Mula nakshatras are traditionally chosen for this sankalpa, and when the rite is done as the Runa Vimochana Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam, Fridays and Sankranti days are preferred. Our priests fix the muhurat by the panchanga and confirm your slot before the homa.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapathi puja and a sankalpa spoken in your name, gotra and birth star. Punyahavachanam and kalasha sthapana follow, then the kunda is prepared and Agni invoked. Offerings of ghee, samidha, durva grass, modaka, sesame, rice and herbal dravya are made through repeated recitation of the debt-cutting mantra, with Ganapathi Atharvashirsha and the Runa Vimochana stotra. Purnahuti, aarti and prasadam distribution close the rite.
