Also spelled Runa Vimochana Homam
ऋण विमोचन होमThe fire that cuts the knot of debt. Offerings placed for Runa Vimochana Ganapathi, so what you owe loosens and what you earn stays.
Debt is not only a number in a ledger. The tradition calls it runa - a binding, a weight carried in the chest at night, a pull that keeps money moving out faster than it comes in. The Runa Vimochana Homa is the fire rite prescribed for loosening that binding. Ghee, samagri and the debt-cutting mantra are offered into the kunda while the priests name your gotra and your sankalpa, asking Runa Vimochana Ganapathi to sever the cords of obligation and let a settled, steady flow of income take their place.
This homa is also known as the Runa Vimochana Ganapathi Homam, and when Sri Lakshmi is invoked beside him as the Runa Vimochana Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam - the remover of obstacles and the giver of wealth worshipped together. Householders have turned to it for generations before clearing a loan, after a business slump, or when income arrives but never seems to remain. Qualified priests perform the runa vimochana homam at AstroBhava's Yagna Ashram on your behalf. You watch the fire live, wherever you are, and prasadam with an energised yantra reaches your door.
ॐ गणेश ऋणं छिन्धि वरेण्यं हुं नमः फट्॥ O Ganesha, most excellent one, cut away my debt - to you I bow.The tradition prescribes the Runa Vimochana Homa for those carrying financial burden. These are the intentions devotees place in the fire.
The core sankalpa: that loans, dues and long-standing obligations loosen their hold and move toward settlement.
Offered so that earnings arrive in a regular rhythm rather than in unreliable bursts.
For households where income comes in and drains away, the rite is prescribed to close the leaks in the flow of wealth.
Ganapathi is invoked as the remover of hindrance - in delayed payments, stalled deals and blocked recoveries.
Debt carries worry with it. Devotees book this homa to hand that anxiety to the fire and act with a clearer head.
Performed with the whole household named, so that financial stability becomes the ground the family stands on.

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.
