Lakshmi Kubera Homa

Also spelled Lakshmi Kubera Homam

लक्ष्मी कुबेर होम

Ghee meets flame, and the treasurer of the gods is called by name — a fire kindled for prosperity that stays, not prosperity that passes.

  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony
  • Muhurta fixed from your own birth chart, confirmed within 24–48 working hours
  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

The Lakshmi Kubera Homa joins two powers that the tradition never separates for long. Mahalakshmi is the wealth that arrives — grace, abundance, the flowering of effort. Kubera is the wealth that remains — the treasurer, the keeper of the nine nidhis, the one who guards what has been given. Invoking one without the other, the elders say, is like filling a vessel that has no base. This homa addresses both: the coming in, and the holding.

Fire is the courier. Every offering placed in the kunda with the Lakshmi Kubera homam mantra travels through Agni to the deities named, and the sankalpa spoken in your name and gotra travels with it. Devotees turn to this Maha homa when income is uneven, when debts have gathered weight, when a household or a business needs its ground to steady. The rite is prescribed for that steadying. Our priests perform it at the Yagna Ashram on your behalf, and you watch the flame rise wherever you are.

Salutations to the Lord of Wealth; O Kubera, yaksha king and son of Vishrava, lord of riches and grain, grant me and cause to grow abundance of wealth and sustenance.

Why Devotees Book This

The lakshmi kubera homam benefits named in the tradition all circle one theme — wealth that arrives, and wealth that stays.

Steady, unbroken income

Offered when earnings come in fits and starts, and the household needs a rhythm it can rely on.

Relief from the weight of debt

The rite is prescribed for those working their way out of loans and dues, to lighten the burden as they repay.

Wealth that is retained

Kubera is invoked as treasurer, for savings that hold and outflow that does not quietly drain the vessel.

Blessing on trade and enterprise

Merchants and business owners take this homa for new ventures, stalled cash flow and the opening of fresh channels.

Grace of Mahalakshmi in the home

For a dwelling where food, cloth and welcome are never short, and prosperity is shared rather than hoarded.

Clarity in financial decisions

Sought for a settled mind around money — for choices made in steadiness rather than in fear.

What a Maha Homa is

Not every fire ritual is performed at the same scale. A Maha Homa is our largest form — more priests, a longer fire, and the complete chanting sequence the rite prescribes rather than an abridged one. This is what that means in practice.

Priests5 or 10Chanting in unison, never in rotation
The fire burnsApprox. 2 hoursFrom the sankalpa to the final aarti

TelecastEvery minuteNothing is performed off camera

A Maha Homa is performed for one devotee and their named family, the same as any homa we conduct. What the scale changes is the weight of the offering — ten trained voices holding one hymn for two hours is a different undertaking from one voice for an hour, and it is reserved for the intentions that warrant it.

Both packages are the same rite. The complete Lakshmi Kuberam, all thirty-one verses, over approximately two hours, with the same offerings, the same free energised Surya Yantra sealed in its silver amulet, and the same live telecast. What changes is how many trained voices carry the hymn at once.

Sacred Timing

Any day the fire is kindled with faith serves. These windows are the ones the tradition marks for Lakshmi and Kubera, and they fill early through the lakshmi kubera pooja 2025 season.

Fridays and Purnima

Friday is Mahalakshmi's own day, and the full moon adds fullness to the sankalpa. The most commonly chosen slot.

Akshaya Tritiya and Dhanteras

The two great wealth days of the year. Akshaya Tritiya is for that which does not diminish; Dhanteras is Kubera's evening.

Dhanishta and Uttara Phalguni nakshatras

Dhanishta carries the sense of wealth and plenty; Uttara Phalguni is Lakshmi's star. Both are favoured for this homa.

Diwali, Varalakshmi Vratam and new beginnings

Also taken at the opening of a shop, the start of a financial year, or a move into a new home or office.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Lakshmi Kubera Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Lakshmi Kubera — the goddess of knowledge itself

Lakshmi Kubera is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Lakshmi Kubera Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

Bathe, face east or north, and set a clean altar with an image of Lakshmi and Kubera or a Kubera yantra. Light a lamp with ghee, offer flowers, kumkum, akshata and a sweet — jaggery, sugar or payasam. Place a few coins or your account passbook before the deities. Chant the Lakshmi Kubera mantra a hundred and eight times, then Sri Suktam if you know it. Close with camphor arati and share the prasadam. A home pooja is complete and worthy in itself. A homa, however, needs a consecrated kunda, trained hands and correct Vedic procedure — which is why devotees have it performed on their behalf at our Yagna Ashram and watch it live.
It is a Maha-tier Vedic fire ritual in which Mahalakshmi, the giver of abundance, and Kubera, the treasurer of the gods, are invoked together into a consecrated fire. Offerings are made with their mantras while a sankalpa is spoken in the devotee's name, gotra and birth star. The significance lies in the pairing: Lakshmi is prayed to for wealth to come, Kubera for wealth to be guarded. The tradition prescribes it for prosperity, steady income and financial stability in home and business.
The tradition names steady and unbroken income, relief from the pressure of debt, retention of what is earned, blessing on trade and new ventures, abundance in the household, and a settled mind in money matters. These are the purposes the rite is performed for. The homa is an act of devotion and sankalpa, not a transaction, and outcomes rest with the deities and with your own continued effort.
Anyone carrying a concern about money may have it performed — salaried people with uneven earnings, business owners and traders, families repaying loans, those beginning a new venture, shop or office, and households seeking Lakshmi's presence. It is also taken by those advised of afflictions to the second or eleventh house, or to Jupiter and Venus, in their chart. There is no bar of gender, age or nationality. The homa itself is performed by qualified priests on your behalf.
Fridays, Purnima, Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras and Diwali are the most favoured. Dhanishta and Uttara Phalguni nakshatras are considered especially suitable, as are Sukla Paksha days. The morning hours, before the sun climbs high, are traditional for the fire. Tell us your birth details when you book and our priests will fix a muhurat that suits your chart and the purpose you name.
The lakshmi kubera homam procedure begins with Ganapati puja and punyahavachanam, then the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra. Kalasha sthapana and avahanam follow, inviting Lakshmi and Kubera into the vessel. Agni is kindled in the kunda and fed with the Lakshmi Kubera mantra, Sri Suktam and Kubera Suktam. Samagri includes cow ghee, samidha of palasha and other prescribed woods, lotus and red flowers, akshata, honey, milk, jaggery, navadhanya, dry fruits, camphor and gold-hued offerings. The rite closes with purnahuti, arati and prasadam. A Kubera yantra is energised in the same fire and couriered to you.
Book online from any country. Choose the package on this page, enter your name, gotra and birth star, and share the intention behind the homa. You receive a live telecast link to watch from wherever you are, and prasadam with the energised yantra is couriered to your address worldwide at no extra charge.
