Also spelled Kanakadhara Homam
कनकधारा होमThe golden stream that Shankara's hymn once drew down, invoked in fire for your work, your ventures and the deals waiting to open.
The Kanakadhara Homa takes its name from a moment in Adi Shankaracharya's life. A poor woman offered him a single dried amla, all she had. Moved, he sang eighteen verses to Mahalakshmi, and a shower of golden amla fell into her courtyard. Those verses became the Kanakadhara Stotram, and the homa built around them carries the same intent — that abundance may flow where effort and devotion already stand.
In the Business tradition, the kanakadhara homam is turned toward livelihood. Merchants offer it before opening a new line of trade. Founders offer it when a venture needs momentum. The oblations are made into the fire while the Kanakadhara verses are chanted, so that the Goddess's sidelong glance — the apanga-lila the hymn praises — falls upon your work. Our priests perform it at the Yagna Ashram in your name and gotra, and you watch the flames live from wherever you are.

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.
