The Ritual and Its Weight

The Bhairavi Homa is a fire offering to Tripura Bhairavi, the Mahavidya whose name means terror to whatever stalls and stagnates. In the business tradition she is approached when work has slowed without reason — proposals that go quiet, deals that reach the last table and stop, a market that once responded and now does not. Her element is heat. The homa places that heat in the kunda, and each offering is made in your name, with your sankalpa, your nakshatra, your line of work spoken aloud.

At our Yagna Ashram in Coimbatore, priests raise the fire, invoke her with her bija mantra, and offer the prescribed havan samagri through the count of japa she is traditionally given. You do not travel. You watch the flame live, wherever you are, and the prasadam and energised yantra follow to your door. What the rite is FOR is clarity and forward motion in enterprise — the courage to ask, the sharpness to negotiate, the readiness to meet an opportunity when it turns up.

ॐ ह्सैं ह्स्क्ल्रीं ह्स्रौः । ॐ त्रिपुरभैरव्यै नमः ॥ With her three seed-syllables of fire, speech and power, I bow to Tripura Bhairavi — may she burn away what obstructs and grant mastery over my work.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees who search for bhairavi homam benefits are usually carrying one specific worry: the business is not moving. Here is what the tradition prescribes this homa for.

Growth after a plateau

Undertaken when turnover has flattened and the usual efforts stop producing, to invoke fresh heat in the enterprise.

New openings and enquiries

Offered by traders and founders seeking fresh leads, markets and introductions — doors that were shut being tried again.

Deals that reach closure

Sought when negotiations stall near the end, for steadiness of speech and clarity of terms at the table.

Obstacles in trade cleared

Bhairavi is invoked to consume the friction — delayed licences, stuck files, needless rivalry — that slows a venture.

Courage for a new venture

Taken before a launch, a partnership, an expansion or a first export order, so the step is begun under her protection.

Steadiness in cash flow

Because this homa is also honoured in the wealth tradition, many book it for order and regularity in business receipts.

Sacred Timing

Bhairavi is a night-facing Mahavidya, and her homa follows the tithis and hours the Shakta tradition reserves for her. Our priests fix the muhurat for your sankalpa and confirm the date with you before the fire is raised.

Ashtami and Navami tithis

The eighth and ninth lunar days are classically given to the fierce Devi forms, and are the first choice for the Bhairavi Homam.

Navaratri, Chaitra and Sharada

During the nine nights, the Mahavidya worship is at full strength — a favoured window for business sankalpas for the year ahead.

Fridays and Chaturdashi

Friday belongs to the Devi; Chaturdashi and the closing hours of the lunar fortnight suit her fire rites and japa.

Before a launch or signing

Many devotees choose a date shortly before a new venture, a tender, a partnership or a large deal, in an abhijit or otherwise clear muhurat free of rahukala.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Bhairavi Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Bhairavi — the goddess of knowledge itself

Bhairavi is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Bhairavi Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Bhairavi Homa is a Vedic fire ritual offered to Tripura Bhairavi, one of the ten Mahavidyas. Her significance in the business tradition is her heat — she is invoked to consume stagnation, hesitation and obstruction. Offerings of ghee, herbs and prescribed samagri are made into the kunda while her bija mantra is chanted, with a sankalpa naming you, your birth details and your line of work. Devotees also refer to this as the tripura bhairavi homam.
The tradition prescribes it for business growth, fresh opportunities, and forward motion in ventures and deals — for enquiries to return, negotiations to close, and friction in trade to ease. The same bhairavi pooja benefits are sought for courage before a launch and for steadiness in receipts. Like all homa benefits, these are the aims of the rite as the shastra states them; outcomes rest with the Devi and with your own effort.
Business owners, traders, founders, self-employed professionals, exporters and partners in a firm commonly book it — particularly those facing a slow period, a delayed deal, or the start of something new. Family members may book it on behalf of the one who runs the business. Qualified priests perform the rite for you at our Yagna Ashram; you need no prior initiation and you do not have to attend in person.
Ashtami and Navami tithis are traditionally preferred, along with Fridays, Chaturdashi, and the nine nights of Chaitra or Sharada Navaratri. Many devotees also choose a date just before a launch, tender or signing. Our priests select a muhurat clear of rahukala and suited to your nakshatra and sankalpa, and confirm the date and streaming time with you in advance.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachanam, then take your sankalpa by name, gotra and nakshatra. Kalasha sthapana and the avahana of Tripura Bhairavi follow. Agni is invoked in the kunda, and the prescribed japa of her bija mantra is completed with ahutis of cow ghee, samit wood, navadhanya, honey, sesame, herbs and Devi-specific dravyas. Purnahuti, deepa aradhana and prasanna puja close the rite. You watch it live; prasadam and the energised yantra are couriered to you at no cost.
Book online from any country on this page. Send your name, gotra if known, birth star and the sankalpa you wish spoken. Our team confirms the muhurat and shares the live telecast link so you can sit before the fire wherever you are. After purnahuti, the prasadam and the energised yantra are dispatched worldwide, free of shipping cost.
