The Ritual and Its Weight

The Indrani Homa is a Vedic fire rite offered to Indrani, the consort of Indra and the śakti of sovereignty itself. Where Indra rules, Indrani supplies the force that makes ruling possible — the nerve to act, the reach to command a room, the authority that a deal responds to. Tradition turns to her when a business must grow rather than merely survive: when a new venture is being launched, a partnership sealed, a territory entered, a stalled negotiation reopened.

In the homa, ghee, grains and prescribed herbs are offered into a consecrated fire while the priests chant Indrani's mantras with your name, gotra and nakshatra. Fire is the messenger; the sankalpa spoken over it names your purpose plainly. Devotees book the Indrani Homam not as a shortcut but as a beginning — a formal, witnessed request placed before the deity of ascendancy before the next chapter of work is opened.

ॐ गजध्वजायै विद्महे वज्रहस्तायै धीमहि । तन्नो ऐन्द्री प्रचोदयात् ॥ May we know her whose emblem is the elephant, may we meditate on her who bears the thunderbolt in her hand — may Aindri, the power of Indra, awaken and guide us.

Why Devotees Book This

The Indrani Homa is prescribed in the tradition for those whose livelihood depends on movement — new work, new markets, new agreements. Devotees bring these intentions to the fire.

Growth of an existing business

Offered when a firm has plateaued and the owner seeks expansion — more reach, more capacity, a wider footing.

New ventures and launches

Traditionally performed before opening a shop, registering a company, or beginning a line of work you have not attempted before.

Deals and negotiations

Sought when contracts, tenders or partnerships are pending and you want the discussion to move rather than stall.

Opportunities that open up

Indrani is invoked as the power that clears a path — for doors, introductions and invitations that were not there before.

Authority and command

Devotees who must lead teams, face boards or hold their position in tough rooms ask her for steadiness of voice and presence.

Courage to act on timing

The rite is offered for the resolve to commit when the moment arrives, instead of hesitating a season too long.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Indrani Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Indrani — the goddess of knowledge itself

Indrani is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Indrani Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

A homa is a Vedic fire ritual. A consecrated fire is kindled in a kunda, Agni is invoked as the carrier of offerings, and ghee, grains, herbs and wood are offered with mantras addressed to a chosen deity. Each offering is sealed with svāhā. The fire is understood as the mouth through which the devas receive what is given, so a homa is a direct, witnessed act of worship rather than a private prayer. A sankalpa naming the devotee and the purpose is spoken at the start, which is why a homa can be performed on your behalf even when you are far from the fire.
The Indrani Homa, also written Indrani Homam, is a fire rite offered to Indrani — Shachi, consort of Indra and one of the Saptamatrikas, depicted with the thunderbolt and the elephant. She embodies sovereignty in action: the force behind a decision, the authority behind a word. Its significance in the Business tradition is that it addresses ascendancy rather than mere stability. Devotees offer it when a venture must grow, a new field must be entered, or a negotiation must find its footing. Like Indrani pooja performed in temples, the homa is a formal appeal to the power that opens position and opportunity.
Tradition prescribes the Indrani Homa for business growth, the arrival of new opportunities, success in ventures and deals, courage in leadership, and clarity when committing to a decision. It is also turned to for authority and presence in professional settings, which is why it appears under Job and Career as well. Related rites are sought for different ends — Indrakshi Homam is associated with strength and protection of the body, and Markandeya Homa benefits are described in terms of longevity — whereas the Indrani Homa is squarely a rite of enterprise and ascendancy. No homa is a guarantee of outcome; it is an offering made with intent and effort continuing alongside it.
It suits business owners, founders, traders, contractors and professionals entering a new phase — a launch, an expansion, a tender, a partnership, a change of role. It is also taken up by those whose enterprise has slowed and who wish to make a formal beginning before trying again. The homa itself is performed for you by qualified priests at our Yagna Ashram; you do not need ritual training, and you do not need to be present. Family members may be named in the sankalpa alongside you if the business is shared.
Tuesdays and Sundays are favoured, as are days ruled by Jyeshtha nakshatra, the star of Indra. The waxing fortnight is preferred for rites of increase, and Ashtami is well suited to Matrika worship. Many devotees schedule the homa shortly before an inauguration, a signing or a major submission. When you book, our priests examine your nakshatra and the current panchanga and fix the muhurat for you, then confirm the date and time before the fire is kindled.
The priests begin with achamana and Ganapati puja to remove obstacles, followed by punyahavachanam and the sankalpa, in which your name, gotra, nakshatra and purpose are spoken aloud. Agni is invoked in the kunda. Indrani is installed and worshipped with a kalasha and the sixteen upacharas. The prescribed number of ahutis is then offered with her mantras — ghee, havan samagri, samidha, tila, akshata, honey, dry fruits and specified herbs and flowers. The rite closes with purnahuti, deeparadhana, prayer for peace and the distribution of prasadam. All samagri is arranged by us; you send only your birth details.
Choose the Indrani Homa on this page, select the package listed in the catalogue and complete the booking online from any country. Share your name, gotra, nakshatra and your intention for the rite. Our priests fix an auspicious muhurat and confirm it with you. On the day, the homa is performed at our Yagna Ashram and telecast live to you, wherever you are, so you can sit with the fire from your own home. Prasadam and an energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide at no extra cost.
