Also spelled Dhanya Lakshmi Homam
धान्य लक्ष्मी होमThe Lakshmi of grain and sustenance, invoked in fire for a household that stays fed, funded and free of want.
The Dhanya Lakshmi Homa is offered to the second of the Ashta Lakshmis — the Goddess who presides over grain, harvest and the food that reaches your plate. In the Vedic view, wealth is not one thing. Gold can sit idle in a locker while a kitchen runs empty. Dhanya is the wealth that renews itself: sown, reaped, eaten, sown again. That is the rhythm this fire rite asks for — income that comes back, month after month, without breaking.
Paddy, rice, millets and grains are poured into the consecrated fire alongside ghee, each offering a prayer that your store never sees its bottom. Households facing irregular earnings, mounting dues or the slow anxiety of a shrinking margin turn to the Dhanya Lakshmi Homam for exactly this reason. The tradition prescribes it not for sudden riches but for sthairya — steadiness. A granary that fills quietly, a debt that thins, a home where the essentials are simply never in question.
वन्दे वैष्णवि भूतानां सर्वेषां प्राणदायिनीम्। श्रीमहालक्ष्मि नमस्तेऽस्तु धान्यलक्ष्मि नमोऽस्तु ते॥ I bow to Vaishnavi, the giver of life-breath to all beings; salutations to you, Sri Mahalakshmi, salutations to you, Dhanya Lakshmi, Goddess of grain and sustenance.Devotees come to the Dhanya Lakshmi Homa when the concern is not luxury but sufficiency — the steady flow that keeps a household calm.
Traditionally offered for regularity of earnings, so that what comes in arrives on time and keeps arriving.
Prescribed by families working their way out of loans and dues, praying for the burden to lighten instalment by instalment.
The rite honours grain itself — food, provisions and daily essentials in unbroken supply.
Sought for sthairya in money matters: fewer shocks, fewer gaps, a base you can plan on.
Farmers, traders, salaried earners and small business owners offer it for the source of their sustenance.
Where provisions are secure, the household breathes easier. The homa is offered for that quiet peace as much as for the wealth.

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.
Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.
