The Ritual and Its Weight

The Dhairya Lakshmi Homa is a fire offering to the third of the Ashta Lakshmi — the form of the Goddess who grants dhairya, the steady courage that does not break under pressure. It is performed when life has become a series of stalled files, postponed decisions, half-finished work and doors that will not open. The tradition holds that obstruction is not only outward. Long delay wears down the will, and a worn will stops trying. This homa is offered at that exact point.

Our priests kindle the fire at AstroBhava's Yagna Ashram and offer ghee, grain and herbs into it with the mantras of Dhairya Lakshmi, in your name, gotra and nakshatra. The dhairya lakshmi homam is classed under obstruction removal because the tradition treats courage as the first obstacle-breaker — the strength to face what blocks you, and the patience to outlast it. You watch the flames live, wherever you are.

ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं क्लीं धैर्यलक्ष्म्यै नमः Salutations to Dhairya Lakshmi, the Goddess whose grace is unshakable courage — may she grant me the strength to stand firm.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Dhairya Lakshmi Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Dhairya Lakshmi — the goddess of knowledge itself

Dhairya Lakshmi is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Dhairya Lakshmi Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Dhairya Lakshmi Homa is a Vedic fire ritual addressed to Dhairya Lakshmi, the form of the Goddess who bestows courage and endurance. She is one of the Ashta Lakshmi, the eight aspects of prosperity. Her significance in the obstruction-removal tradition is direct: delays and hurdles defeat people less by their size than by their length, and dhairya is the quality that lets a devotee keep walking. Ghee, grains, herbs and flowers are offered into the consecrated fire with her mantras, in the devotee's name and nakshatra.
The dhairya lakshmi homam is traditionally offered to clear obstacles and delays that block progress, to steady the mind through long uncertainty, to strengthen resolve before a difficult step, and to reduce the effect of opposition from others. Scripture speaks of the Goddess granting courage and firmness of purpose. AstroBhava presents the rite as tradition prescribes it and does not promise any specific result.
Anyone facing a season of stalled progress may have it performed — students in long courses, professionals whose work has been held up, those in prolonged legal or property matters, entrepreneurs meeting repeated resistance, and anyone whose confidence has been worn thin by waiting. Families often sponsor it jointly. You do not travel and you do not need any prior initiation: our priests perform the homa on your behalf at our Yagna Ashram, naming you in the sankalpa.
Fridays in the bright fortnight are the classical choice, along with Varalakshmi Vratam, the Ashta Lakshmi days and Navaratri. Uttara Phalguni, Rohini and Shravana nakshatras are also favoured. If your need is urgent, the homa need not wait for a festival — our priests read the panchang against your birth details and fix a suitable muhurat, then confirm the date and time with you before the rite.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachana to purify the space. Your sankalpa is taken with your name, gotra and nakshatra. Kalasha sthapana and the invocation of Dhairya Lakshmi follow, with shodashopachara puja. Agni is kindled in the kunda and the mantras of the Goddess are offered with ghee, along with samagri such as havan samidha, lotus seeds, red flowers, turmeric, akshata, jaggery, dried fruit and fragrant herbs. The rite closes with purnahuti, arati, pradakshina and prayers for the sponsor. Samagri is arranged wholly by the ashram.
Book it from this page, from any country. Share your name, gotra if you know it, birth star and the concern you are placing before the Goddess. Our team confirms the muhurat and sends you the live telecast link so you can watch the fire as the offerings are made. Prasadam and an energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide at no extra charge.
