The Ritual and Its Weight

The Bhagya Suktha Homa takes its name from the Bhagya Suktam, the dawn hymn of the Rig Veda that calls on Bhaga at the first light of day. Bhaga is the Aditya of apportionment — the one who distributes to each life what is rightfully due to it. The hymn does not beg. It reminds. It asks that the share already allotted to you find its way to your hands without obstruction, delay or leakage. Priests chant it in full, verse by verse, while ghee, grains and prescribed dravyas go into the fire at the close of each line.

Tradition places this rite among the wealth homas for a particular reason. Many prosperity rituals ask for increase. The Bhagya Suktam homam is concerned with flow — with income arriving on time, with earnings holding rather than draining, with a household resting on ground that does not shift under it. That is why it is sought by those carrying debt, by those whose income comes in bursts and gaps, and by families beginning a new financial chapter. It is a Maha-tier observance at our Yagna Ashram, performed in full form on your behalf and telecast live to you wherever you are.

At daybreak we call upon Bhaga, the much-invoked bestower, and with him Indra, Agni, Mitra and Varuna, the Ashvins, Pushan, Brahmanaspati, Soma and Rudra — that the fortune due to us may come with the morning.

Why Devotees Book This

Among the bhagya suktam homam benefits recorded in tradition, these are the concerns devotees most often bring to the fire.

Steady income

The hymn is chanted for earnings that arrive regularly rather than in unpredictable bursts, so a household can plan on what comes in.

Relief from debt

Sought by those working their way out of borrowings, for clarity of mind and orderly repayment rather than mounting pressure.

Rightful share restored

Bhaga is the apportioner. The rite is offered where dues, payments or an inheritance seem held up or turned away.

Financial stability at home

Families undertake it to steady the ground beneath the household — expenses, savings and obligations kept in proportion.

Obstructions in earning cleared

Where effort is sincere but returns keep stalling, the homa is prescribed to loosen what stands in the way of your labour bearing fruit.

An auspicious start

Booked before a new business, a job change, a property purchase or the opening of a new financial year, so the venture begins in blessing.

What a Maha Homa is

Not every fire ritual is performed at the same scale. A Maha Homa is our largest form — more priests, a longer fire, and the complete chanting sequence the rite prescribes rather than an abridged one. This is what that means in practice.

Priests5 or 10Chanting in unison, never in rotation
The fire burnsApprox. 2 hoursFrom the sankalpa to the final aarti

TelecastEvery minuteNothing is performed off camera

A Maha Homa is performed for one devotee and their named family, the same as any homa we conduct. What the scale changes is the weight of the offering — ten trained voices holding one hymn for two hours is a different undertaking from one voice for an hour, and it is reserved for the intentions that warrant it.

Sacred Timing

The Bhagya Suktam is a hymn of the dawn, and the homa is traditionally set in the early hours. Our priests fix the muhurat against your sankalpa details and the panchanga.

Brahma Muhurta and sunrise

The suktam addresses Bhaga at daybreak. The oblations are timed so the closing verses fall with the rising light.

Fridays and Purva Phalguni

Friday is held for abundance, and Purva Phalguni is the nakshatra ruled by Bhaga himself — a natural day for this rite.

Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras and Varalakshmi Vratam

Wealth-related parvas of the year, when households traditionally renew their prosperity observances.

Financial turning points

Before a new venture, at the start of a financial year, on a Pushya nakshatra day, or when beginning a plan to clear debt.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Bhaga Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Bhaga — the goddess of knowledge itself

Bhaga is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Bhaga Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

It is a Vedic fire ritual built around the Bhagya Suktam, the Rig Vedic dawn hymn to Bhaga, the Aditya who apportions fortune. Priests chant the suktam in full and offer ghee, grains and prescribed dravyas into the fire at each verse. Its significance lies in what it asks for — not sudden gain, but the unobstructed arrival of the share that is rightfully yours. This is why bhagya suktam pooja benefits are described in tradition in terms of flow and steadiness rather than windfall.
Tradition prescribes it for steady income, relief from the weight of debt, financial stability in the household, and the clearing of obstructions that keep honest effort from bearing fruit. It is also offered before new ventures and financial beginnings. Like the pavamana homa benefits described in the same body of wealth rites, the emphasis is on purification and clear passage — removing what blocks, so that what is due can reach you. No homa is a guarantee; it is an offering made in faith alongside your own effort.
Those carrying debt, those whose earnings are irregular, business owners and salaried devotees alike who seek stability, and families starting a new financial chapter — a business, a home purchase, a move abroad. It is also taken up as an annual observance by households who simply wish to keep their prosperity settled. You do not perform it yourself. Qualified priests perform it at our Yagna Ashram on your behalf, in your name and gotra.
The early morning, since the suktam is a dawn invocation. Fridays are favoured, as is Purva Phalguni, the nakshatra of Bhaga. Wealth parvas such as Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras and Varalakshmi Vratam are widely chosen, as is the start of a financial year or the eve of a new venture. Share your birth details when you book and our priests will fix the muhurat for you.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachanam, then take the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra. The kunda is prepared and Agni invoked through agni pratishtha. Bhaga and the Adityas are installed and honoured with shodashopachara. The Bhagya Suktam is then chanted verse by verse with ahutis at each closing, followed by the prescribed count of oblations. Samagri includes cow ghee, samidha of the prescribed woods, navadhanya, rice, honey, sesame, dry fruits, camphor and fragrant dravyas. The rite closes with purnahuti, aarti, prasadam and the energising of your yantra.
Choose your package on this page, enter your name, gotra, nakshatra and your sankalpa, and confirm online from any country. We send you the scheduled date and the live telecast link so you can watch the fire from wherever you are. Afterwards, prasadam and the energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide, free of charge.
