A note on sacred tradition
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. Subramanya is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.
In this homa, her grace — Subramanya Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Bathe, face east, and set Subramanya's image or a Vel before you with a lit ghee lamp. Offer water, sandal paste, red or orange flowers, and any fruit — banana is dear to him. Chant Om Saravanabhavaya Namah 108 times on a rudraksha or lotus-seed mala, then read the Subrahmanya Ashtottaram or Kanda Shashti Kavacham if you know it. Offer jaggery or panchamrita as naivedya, show camphor, and place your prayer for your case plainly before him.
