The Ritual and Its Weight

The Parasurama Homa is a fire rite offered to the sixth avatara of Vishnu — the brahmana who took up the axe when law and fairness collapsed. Tradition places him at the point where patience ends and righteous action begins. That is why the homa has long been turned to by those caught in litigation: property that is being contested, a case that will not move, an accusation that is not true, a hearing that keeps being pushed forward.

In the Parasurama homam the fire is treated as the witness. Your name, your gotra and the matter you are entangled in are spoken into it by the priests, and offerings are made through the recitation of Parasurama's mantras. The tradition does not promise a verdict. It prescribes this rite for clarity of speech before authority, steadiness when you are pressured, and the removal of the obstructions that keep a just matter from being heard.

ॐ जामदग्न्याय विद्महे महावीराय धीमहि । तन्नो परशुरामः प्रचोदयात् ॥ We meditate upon the son of Jamadagni, the great hero; may Parasurama awaken and guide our understanding.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees turn to the Parasurama Homa when a legal matter has taken over their days. Here is what the tradition prescribes it for.

Court cases and hearings

Offered before a filing, a hearing or a judgment date, for a matter to be heard on its merits.

Cases that will not move

Traditionally invoked where adjournments, missing papers and delays keep a just claim stalled.

Property and inheritance disputes

Parasurama's lore is bound to contested land and rightful claim, and the rite is sought in such quarrels.

False accusation

Prayed for when your name is under a shadow and you need the truth of your position to surface.

Courage before authority

For steady speech and an unshaken mind when you stand before a court, a panel or an opposing party.

Opposition and obstruction

Sought for relief from those working against you, and for the clearing of blocks around an unresolved matter.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Parasurama Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Parasurama — the goddess of knowledge itself

Parasurama is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Parasurama Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Parasurama Homa is a Vedic fire ritual offered to Parasurama, the axe-bearing sixth avatara of Vishnu and son of sage Jamadagni. He is remembered as the one who acted when justice failed. The rite is prescribed in the tradition for those entangled in legal disputes — offerings and mantras are made into the consecrated fire so that a matter is heard fairly and the devotee stands with a steady mind.
Tradition prescribes the parasurama homam for pending court cases, stalled hearings, property and inheritance disputes, false allegation, and relief from those obstructing a rightful claim. Devotees also perform it for courage of speech before authority and for clarity when a legal matter is weighing on the mind. The rite is an offering, not a guarantee of any verdict.
Anyone carrying a legal burden — a case in court, a disputed property, an arbitration, a complaint filed against them, or a claim that has gone unanswered. Families often book it jointly when the matter concerns shared land or inheritance. You may also sponsor the Parasurama Homa on behalf of a parent, spouse, sibling or child; their name and gotra are taken in the sankalpa.
Akshaya Tritiya, observed as Parasurama Jayanti, is the most auspicious day. Tuesdays and Sundays, and the Shukla Paksha Tritiya each month, are also favoured. Many devotees choose a date shortly before a hearing or filing. Share your birth details and your case dates, and our priests will fix the muhurat and confirm it with you.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachana, then a sankalpa naming you, your gotra, nakshatra and the matter at hand. The kunda is prepared and Agni invoked. Offerings of ghee, samidha, black and white sesame, rice, navadhanya, herbs and flowers are made through the Parasurama mantras and Gayatri. The rite closes with purnahuti, deeparadhana and the distribution of prasadam and vibhuti.
