The Ritual and Its Weight

The Karthaveeryarjuna Homa is a fire rite offered to Kartavirya Arjuna, the Haihaya emperor of a thousand arms, whom tradition remembers as the sovereign no adversary could overpower. When a matter passes out of your hands and into a courtroom, a registrar's file, or a stranger's judgement, this is the homa the tradition prescribes. Ghee, samidha and specific dravyas go into the fire while his verse is chanted, and the sankalpa names your case, your opponent's obstruction, and the justice you are seeking.

Its second and older reputation is for recovery. The classical shloka promises that by remembrance alone, what has gone and what has been lost is found again — which is why the karthaveeryarjuna homa is turned to for stolen property, withheld dues, blocked inheritance and disputed land, matters that so often end up in litigation anyway. At AstroBhava the rite is performed on your behalf at our Yagna Ashram and telecast live to you, wherever the case is being heard.

कार्तवीर्यार्जुनो नाम राजा बाहुसहस्रवान् । तस्य स्मरणमात्रेण गतं नष्टं च लभ्यते ॥ Kartaveeryarjuna is his name, the king of a thousand arms; by the mere remembrance of him, that which has gone away and that which has been lost is regained.

Any day of sincere need is a valid day, and a hearing date rarely waits. Still, tradition favours these windows for the Karthaveeryarjuna Homa.

Kartika Masa and Kartika Pournami

The month associated with Kartaveerya's worship is held as especially fitting for this rite, particularly the full-moon day.

Tuesdays and Sundays

The days of Mangala and Surya, associated with valour, authority and the assertion of a rightful claim.

Anuradha, Uttara Phalguni and Vishakha Nakshatras

Stars linked with alliance, contract and the settling of matters are chosen for sankalpas concerning disputes and agreements.

Before a Hearing or Filing

Many devotees fix the homa in the days preceding a scheduled hearing, a filing deadline or a mediation sitting.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Karthaveeryarjuna Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Karthaveeryarjuna — the goddess of knowledge itself

Karthaveeryarjuna is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Karthaveeryarjuna Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

It is a Vedic fire ritual offered to Kartavirya Arjuna, the thousand-armed Haihaya emperor described in the Puranas as undefeated in battle and unfailing as a protector. The homa's significance lies in two things the tradition attributes to him: the settling of disputes in favour of the truthful, and the return of what has been lost or taken. That is why it is placed under Legal Issues — court cases, contested property, withheld dues and delayed justice.
The homa benefits described in tradition include support through pending court cases and appeals, relief where litigation has stretched on without resolution, the recovery of stolen or withheld property, protection in land and title disputes, and steadiness of mind for the person who must stand up and speak. Searchers looking for karthaveeryarjuna homam benefits in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil or Malayalam will find the same list — the shloka is one verse, chanted identically in every script.
Anyone facing a legal matter may have it performed for them: a petitioner or respondent in a civil or criminal case, a family locked in a partition or inheritance dispute, a business in a contract or recovery proceeding, or someone whose property, documents or dues are held by another. It is also taken up by those who have lost valuables and by families wanting protection before signing or registering something important. You do not need any prior initiation; the sankalpa is made in your name, gotra and birth star.
Kartika Masa, and Kartika Pournami in particular, is the most favoured period. Tuesdays and Sundays suit the rite through the year, as do the Anuradha, Uttara Phalguni and Vishakha nakshatras. Practically, most devotees choose a date shortly before a hearing, filing or mediation. Tell us your situation and our priests will fix an appropriate muhurat, computed for the Ashram's sunrise and shared with you in advance.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachana, then take the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra, naming your dispute. Kalasha sthapana and invocation of Karthaveeryarjuna follow. Agni is kindled in the kunda and offerings are made with the Kartaveerya shloka and mula mantra for the prescribed count — ghee, samidha, havis, sesame, rice and specific dravyas. The rite closes with purnahuti, deeparadhana, aarti and prayer for the resolution of your case. Prasadam and an energised yantra are then couriered to you.
Book online from any country on this page. Enter your name, gotra and birth star, and a short note on the matter — case type, stage, hearing date if you have one. The karthaveeryarjuna homam cost for your country is shown here automatically, as it is for other rites such as the Sudarshana Homa; you do not need to ask for a quote. On the fixed day our priests perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram on your behalf and telecast it live to you, and prasadam with an energised yantra is couriered to your address at no extra charge.
