Shatru Samhara Subramanya Trishati Homa

Also spelled Shatru Samhara Subramanya Trishati Homam

शत्रु संहार सुब्रमण्य त्रिशती होम

Three hundred names of the spear-bearing Lord poured into the fire — a shield of sound raised around your name, your work and your family.

  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony
  • Muhurta fixed from your own birth chart, confirmed within 24–48 working hours
  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

The Shatru Samhara Subramanya Trishati Homa is a Maha-tier fire rite in which the Subramanya Trishati — three hundred names of Lord Skanda — is offered syllable by syllable into a consecrated agni. Each name is spoken with an oblation, so the whole stotra becomes smoke and light rather than only speech. Shatru samhara does not mean harm sent outward. In the Skanda tradition it means the dissolving of what opposes you: the rival who works in the dark, the whispered complaint, the file that never moves, the ill-will that arrives before you enter a room.

Devotees turn to this homa when opposition has become personal. A partner turned adversary. A colleague circulating half-truths. A dispute that has hardened past reason. The tradition prescribes Subramanya here because he is the Lord who goes first into the fight and asks nothing for himself — Devasenapati, commander of the celestial army. At AstroBhava this homa is performed by qualified priests at our Yagna Ashram in your name and gotra, telecast live to you wherever you are, with prasadam and an energised yantra couriered to your door.

ॐ शरवणभव ॐ नमो भगवते सुब्रह्मण्याय शत्रुसंहारकाय स्वाहा Salutations to Lord Subrahmanya, born in the reed-grove, destroyer of hostility — this offering is made to you.

Why Devotees Book This

Among the shatru samhara homam benefits and subramanya homam benefits named in the tradition, these are the intentions devotees most often bring to the fire.

A shield against rivals

The rite is prescribed for protection when competitors or adversaries are working actively against your interests, openly or in secret.

Ill-will quieted

Traditionally offered to neutralise envy, gossip, curses and the residue of another's resentment directed at you or your household.

Courage where you had none

Skanda is invoked as the fearless commander. Devotees seek his steadiness before confrontations, hearings and hard conversations.

Movement in stalled matters

Where disputes, claims or proceedings have frozen, the homa is performed as a prayer for obstruction to loosen and matters to move.

Protection for the family and home

The sankalpa can be taken for the whole household, so the shield is raised over spouse, children and dwelling, not the applicant alone.

Clarity instead of retaliation

The Trishati is chanted for discernment — so you act from strength and dharma rather than from anger.

What a Maha Homa is

Not every fire ritual is performed at the same scale. A Maha Homa is our largest form. This is what that means.

Performed at full scale

More priests, and a fire that burns for as long as the rite itself requires rather than a shortened sitting. The exact figures for this rite are stated with its price above.

Chanted complete

The whole sequence the rite calls for, in unison, never a representative portion of it and never chanted in rotation.

Telecast entire

Every minute, from the sankalpa in which your name is spoken to the final aarti. Nothing is performed off camera.

A Maha Homa is performed for one devotee and their named family, exactly like any homa we conduct. What the scale changes is the weight of the offering, and it is reserved for the intentions that warrant it.

One rite, one price

There is nothing to choose. Unlike most of our homas, the Shatru Samhara Subramanya Trishati Homa is not offered at several priest counts. It is performed one way, as the rite requires — five priests, five hours, all five suktas complete — with the free energised Vishnu Yantra sealed in its silver amulet, the live telecast, and free worldwide delivery of your prasadam all included in the one price.

Sacred Timing

Skanda's own days and stars are chosen for this homa. If your matter is urgent, our priests will fix the nearest suitable muhurat and confirm it to you.

Kritika nakshatra

Subramanya's birth star. The monthly Kritika day is the classical choice for Trishati recitation and Skanda homas.

Shashti tithi and Skanda Shashti

The sixth lunar day is sacred to Kumara. Skanda Shashti in Kartika, marking his victory over Surapadma, is the most potent occasion of the year for shatru samhara.

Tuesday

The day of valour and martial energy, long favoured for rites seeking protection from adversaries and strength in conflict.

Vishakha nakshatra and Mangala hora

Also accepted for this rite; the Mangala hora on any day is used when the matter cannot wait for the next Shashti or Kritika.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Subramanya Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

After it arrives

Who is invoked

Subramanya — the goddess of knowledge itself

Subramanya is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Subramanya Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

It is a Maha fire ritual in which the Subramanya Trishati — the three hundred names of Lord Skanda — is offered into a consecrated agni, one name to one oblation. Its significance lies in the form of the Lord invoked: Subramanya as Devasenapati, the commander who faces what others cannot. Shatru samhara here means the dissolving of hostility around you — rivalry, envy, whispered ill-will, hardened opposition — not the sending of harm to anyone. The rite is performed in your name and gotra so that the shield stands over you specifically.
The tradition prescribes it for protection from rivals and adversaries, for the neutralising of envy, gossip and directed ill-will, for courage and composure before confrontations or hearings, and for movement in disputes that have stalled. Among shatru samhara pooja benefits, elders also name protection of the household and clarity of judgement — so you respond from dharma rather than anger. A homa is worship, and worship is offered as prayer, not as a guaranteed result.
Anyone facing sustained opposition: business owners undercut by competitors, professionals dealing with workplace hostility, families caught in property or inheritance disputes, and those who sense persistent ill-will around their work or home. It is also taken by devotees of Skanda as an annual protective observance. You do not perform it yourself — qualified priests perform it at our Yagna Ashram on your behalf, with your sankalpa, while you watch the live telecast.
Kritika nakshatra, Shashti tithi, and above all Skanda Shashti in the month of Kartika are the classical windows. Tuesdays and the Mangala hora are also used, particularly when a matter is pressing. Share your birth details at booking and our priests will select the nearest suitable muhurat for your situation and confirm the date and time with you before the homa.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachanam, then take the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra. Kalasha sthapana and avahana install Subramanya with his vel. Agni is kindled and consecrated, followed by navagraha and rakshoghna offerings. The Subramanya Trishati is then chanted with three hundred oblations of ghee, and the core shatru samhara mantras are recited with the prescribed count. Samagri includes cow ghee, samit wood, black and white sesame, mustard, rice, jaggery, red flowers and vastra for the deity. Purnahuti, arati, prasanna puja and the invocation of blessings over your name close the rite. Prasadam and an energised yantra are then couriered to you.
