  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony

  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

The Samhara Bhairava Homa is a fierce protective fire rite offered to Bhairava in his dissolving aspect — the form that ends what has outlived its time. Tradition turns to this homam when opposition has become personal: rivals who move against you, whispers that follow your name, litigation and conflict that will not settle, hostility you can feel but cannot trace. The fire is not raised in anger. It is raised as a boundary.

In the agamic understanding, Samhara means dissolution, not destruction of a person. What the offerings are directed at is the hostile intention itself — the pattern of enmity, the accumulated ill-will, the invisible pressure that keeps a matter stuck. Priests kindle the kunda, feed it with the prescribed dravyas, and place your name and nakshatra into every oblation. You watch the flame rise, wherever in the world you are, and the rite is performed in your name.

ॐ संहारभैरवाय नमः Salutations to Samhara Bhairava, the fierce guardian who dissolves all that threatens the devotee.

Why Devotees Book This

Neutralising ill-will

Traditionally invoked to dissolve envy, curses and the residue of hostile intention directed at you or your household.

Sought by those facing disputes, prolonged conflict or legal proceedings where the ground keeps shifting.

Courage under pressure

Bhairava is invoked for the steadiness to stand your ground without fear and without being drawn into retaliation.

Guarding home and workplace

Bhairava rites are timed to the hours the tradition considers his own. Our priests fix the muhurat for your homam from the panchanga and your birth details.

Kalashtami / Ashtami tithi

The eighth lunar day, especially in the waning fortnight, is Bhairava's own tithi and the most sought-after day for this homam.

Tuesdays and Sundays

The two weekdays traditionally held sacred to fierce protective forms, favoured for rites of defence and victory over opposition.

Ardra and Bharani nakshatras

Stars governed by Rudra and Yama, considered strong for Bhairava upasana and for rites that dissolve hostile influence.

Bhairava Ashtami and Amavasya

The annual Bhairava Ashtami in Margashirsha, and the new-moon night, are held as especially potent for Samhara Bhairava Homa.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Samhara Bhairava Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Samhara Bhairava — the goddess of knowledge itself

Samhara Bhairava is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Samhara Bhairava Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Samhara Bhairava Homa is a Vedic-agamic fire ritual offered to Bhairava in his samhara — dissolving — aspect. Its significance lies in what it addresses: not a person, but the hostile intention aimed at you. Priests invoke Bhairava as guardian and boundary-keeper, and offer prescribed dravyas into the kunda in your name, asking that opposition, ill-will and obstruction be dissolved.
Tradition prescribes this homam for protection from rivals and adversaries, for the neutralising of envy and hostile intent, for strength in contested and prolonged disputes, for courage under pressure, and for a protective boundary around home, family and livelihood. The rite is an offering, not a transaction — the outcome rests with Bhairava.
It is booked by those facing active opposition — professional rivalry, business adversaries, disputes that will not resolve, or the sense that ill-will is following them. Families offer it for the protection of a household. You do not need to be an initiate. You need only your name, nakshatra and gotra if known; qualified priests perform the rite on your behalf.
Ashtami tithi — especially Kalashtami in the waning fortnight — is the classical day. Tuesdays, Sundays, Amavasya and the annual Bhairava Ashtami are also held as strong. Ardra and Bharani nakshatras suit Bhairava upasana. Our priests select the muhurat from the panchanga and your birth details, and confirm it with you before the homa.
The priests begin with achamana, sankalpa in your name, nakshatra and gotra, and Ganapati puja. Kalasha sthapana and Bhairava avahana follow. Agni is invoked in the kunda, and the Bhairava mantra is chanted for the prescribed count with oblations of ghee, black sesame, mustard, dry samidha and the dravyas the agama assigns to fierce forms. Purnahuti, arati, rakshabandhana and prasadam distribution close the rite.
