Also spelled Samhara Bhairava Homam
संहार भैरव होमThe fire that faces what stands against you — Samhara Bhairava invoked for protection from rivals, victory over opposition and the quieting of ill-will.
The Samhara Bhairava Homa is a fierce protective fire rite offered to Bhairava in his dissolving aspect — the form that ends what has outlived its time. Tradition turns to this homam when opposition has become personal: rivals who move against you, whispers that follow your name, litigation and conflict that will not settle, hostility you can feel but cannot trace. The fire is not raised in anger. It is raised as a boundary.
In the agamic understanding, Samhara means dissolution, not destruction of a person. What the offerings are directed at is the hostile intention itself — the pattern of enmity, the accumulated ill-will, the invisible pressure that keeps a matter stuck. Priests kindle the kunda, feed it with the prescribed dravyas, and place your name and nakshatra into every oblation. You watch the flame rise, wherever in the world you are, and the rite is performed in your name.

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing.
