Also spelled Rajagopala Homam
राजगोपाल होमThe fire of Krishna the cowherd-king, kindled for the seeker of a life partner and for hearts that wish to stay close.
The Rajagopala Homa is offered to Krishna in his Rajagopala form — the cowherd who is also a king, the one whose flute drew the gopis across the dark to the Yamuna. In the Vaishnava tradition of the South, particularly around the Rajagopalaswamy sampradaya of Mannargudi, this form is invoked when a marriage must be made, mended or hastened. The rite is a Standard homa: measured, complete, worked through with the Gopala mantra offered into the fire ghee-drop by ghee-drop.
Marriage in the shastras is not only a match of horoscopes. It is a meeting of prarabdha, of families, of temperament. When alliances break at the last hour, when proposals stall for years without visible reason, when two people who love each other cannot seem to speak gently, tradition prescribes the invocation of the deity of akarshana and saubhagya — the one who draws and the one who binds sweetly. That is why the Rajagopala Homam is booked. You do not travel to attend. Our priests offer it on your behalf at the Yagna Ashram, with your name, gotra and sankalpa spoken into the fire, and you watch it live.
ॐ क्लीं कृष्णाय गोविन्दाय गोपीजनवल्लभाय स्वाहा With the seed-sound of attraction I offer into the fire to Krishna, the protector of cows and earth, the beloved of the gopis — draw to me what is rightfully mine.Devotees come to the Rajagopala Homa at very particular moments in a life. These are the reasons most often written into the sankalpa.
Offered by those searching for a life partner, so that a fitting proposal may come and the search be guided rather than scattered.
Prescribed traditionally where alliances repeatedly stall, break late, or drag on without cause the family can name.
Invoked by married couples seeking sweetness in speech, patience in disagreement and the return of closeness after a hard season.
Rajagopala is worshipped as the deity of attractiveness and auspiciousness — the quality that makes one welcome in a new household.
Turned to when horoscopes match but elders hesitate, or when two families cannot agree and the matter needs softening.
Offered where a couple wishes to come together again in understanding, and the tradition places that prayer before Krishna.

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.
As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.
Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.
