Also spelled Bhuvaneshwari Homam

भुवनेश्वरी होम

The Devi who holds all the worlds in her gaze is invoked in fire — for a partner, for a settled home, for a path that stops stalling.

  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony
  • Muhurta fixed from your own birth chart, confirmed within 24–48 working hours
  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

The Bhuvaneshwari Homa is a fire rite offered to the third of the Dasha Mahavidyas, the Devi who is space itself — the room in which every life unfolds. Where other rites push against an obstacle, this one widens the field. Tradition turns to the Bhuvaneshwari Homam when a marriage will not form, when proposals arrive and dissolve, when two people who love each other cannot find ease under one roof. The Devi is asked to make space where there has been none.

Fire is chosen because it carries. Ghee, samidha and the Devi's bija are offered into a kunda kindled by mantra, and each offering is spoken with your name, your nakshatra and your gotra. Elders placed this homa in the same family of remedial rites as the Markandeya and Rudra homas — each with its own domain, each performed for what the shastra prescribes it for. Here the domain is partnership: the meeting, the alliance, the household that follows.

ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं क्लीं भुवनेश्वर्यै नमः Salutations to Bhuvaneshwari, sovereign of all the worlds — may she grant speech, grace, abundance and loving union.

Why Devotees Book This

The Bhuvaneshwari Homam benefits described in tradition all circle one theme — making room in a life for another person. Devotees book it for these reasons.

For a life partner

Offered when the search for a match has gone long and quiet, asking the Devi to open the meeting.

When alliances keep dissolving

Prescribed where proposals reach a certain point and fall away, again and again, without clear cause.

For harmony between spouses

Traditionally performed to soften friction at home and restore warmth between husband and wife.

When elders read delay in the chart

Turned to when Venus, the seventh house or the Moon indicate obstruction around marriage timing.

For the household's atmosphere

The Devi of space is invoked so the home itself feels wide, settled and welcoming.

Before a wedding is fixed

Families offer it as the alliance is being finalised, seeking the Devi's grace over the years ahead.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Bhuvaneshwari Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Bhuvaneshwari — the goddess of knowledge itself

Bhuvaneshwari is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Bhuvaneshwari Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

Thila Homam is a different rite, offered to the ancestors, and it is usually done at a tirtha or under a priest's direct supervision rather than casually at home. If that is what you need, look for it under its own page. The Bhuvaneshwari Homa you are reading about here is performed for you by our priests at the Yagna Ashram in Coimbatore and streamed to you live, so nothing needs to be arranged in your own house.
It is a fire ritual offered to Bhuvaneshwari, the Devi who is the very space of the worlds and the third of the Dasha Mahavidyas. Its significance lies in her nature — she is expansion, room, openness. In the Love and Marriage tradition she is invoked when life has grown narrow around a person: no partner appearing, an alliance that will not close, a home where two people cannot breathe easily. Ghee and samidha are offered into the kunda with her bija mantra, in your name and nakshatra.
The Bhuvaneshwari Homam benefits recorded by tradition are marriage-centred: support in finding a suitable life partner, relief from repeated delay in alliances, harmony and affection between spouses, and a calmer atmosphere in the household. Like other classical homa benefits, these are what the rite is prescribed for, not a promised result. Many devotees also describe a settling of the mind through the sankalpa period itself, which is its own kind of grace.
It is booked by unmarried men and women whose marriage has been long in coming, by parents seeking an alliance for a son or daughter, by married couples wanting to repair the ease between them, and by families about to fix a wedding. The homa itself is performed by qualified Vedic priests trained in Shakta upasana — the bija mantras and the Devi's vidhi call for that training. You need only give your name, nakshatra and gotra.
Fridays are the Devi's day and the first choice. Navaratri, Purnima and the waxing fortnight are all held auspicious, as are nakshatras linked with union such as Rohini and Uttara Phalguni. Our panchanga scholars check your birth details against the calendar and fix a muhurat, then confirm the date and hour to you in advance so you can be present at the stream.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and the sankalpa taken in your name, nakshatra and gotra. Kalasha sthapana follows, then the invocation of Bhuvaneshwari into the kunda. Agni is kindled by mantra and the offerings begin — ghee, palasha and other prescribed samidha, havis, sesame, rice, flowers and the Devi's favoured dravyas — each into her bija mantra for the prescribed count. The rite closes with purnahuti, arati and prayer for you. Everything is arranged at our Yagna Ashram; you gather nothing.
Choose your package on this page and enter your name, nakshatra and gotra, and those of anyone else the sankalpa should cover. We confirm your muhurat and send the live stream link before the homa begins. Afterwards, prasadam from the fire and an energised yantra are couriered to your address anywhere in the world, free of shipping cost. You can book from any country.
