  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

Samputita means enclosed. In this rite, every section of the Chandi Saptashati is wrapped — before and after — in the mantra of Pratyangira, the fierce lioness-faced form of the Mother. The Navachandi Prathyangira Mantra Samputitha Homa multiplies that recitation nine times over and pours it into the fire. It is one of the heaviest protective observances the tradition holds, reserved for households that feel besieged by forces they cannot name.

Devotees turn to the navachandi prathyangira mantra samputitha homam when unease has become a pattern: sudden reversals, quarrels without cause, sleep that will not come, a sense of being watched or worked against. The tradition prescribes this fire not to strike back, but to build a wall. What is sent toward you is met at the boundary, absorbed by the flame, and returned to stillness.

ॐ ह्रीं क्षौं प्रत्यङ्गिरे मां रक्ष रक्ष हुं फट् स्वाहा O Pratyangira, guard me, guard me — let all that is sent against me be turned back and consumed.

Why Devotees Book This

The tradition prescribes this homa for those who seek shelter. Here is what it is offered for.

A shield against sent harm

The rite is performed to turn back abhichara — deliberate workings, curses and hostile intent directed at a person or family.

Relief from drishti and evil eye

Offered when praise, envy or a stranger's gaze seems to have settled on a child, a home or a new venture.

Quiet in the mind

Sought by those troubled by restless nights, oppressive dreams and a persistent feeling of being followed or drained.

Protection for the household

The sankalpa is taken in the names you give — spouse, children, elders — so the shield is drawn around the whole family.

Steadiness against opposition

Traditionally invoked when rivals, litigation or workplace hostility press in and every effort seems blocked.

Cleansing of a disturbed space

Offered for homes, shops and workplaces where the atmosphere has turned heavy and nothing seems to settle.

What a Maha Homa is

Not every fire ritual is performed at the same scale. A Maha Homa is our largest form. This is what that means.

Performed at full scale

More priests, and a fire that burns for as long as the rite itself requires rather than a shortened sitting. The exact figures for this rite are stated with its price above.

Chanted complete

The whole sequence the rite calls for, in unison, never a representative portion of it and never chanted in rotation.

Telecast entire

Every minute, from the sankalpa in which your name is spoken to the final aarti. Nothing is performed off camera.

A Maha Homa is performed for one devotee and their named family, exactly like any homa we conduct. What the scale changes is the weight of the offering, and it is reserved for the intentions that warrant it.

One rite, one price

There is nothing to choose. Unlike most of our homas, the Navachandi Prathyangira Mantra Samputitha Homa is not offered at several priest counts. It is performed one way, as the rite requires — five priests, five hours, all five suktas complete — with the free energised Vishnu Yantra sealed in its silver amulet, the live telecast, and free worldwide delivery of your prasadam all included in the one price.

Sacred Timing

Pratyangira's fire is lit in the darker, quieter hours. These are the occasions the tradition favours.

Amavasya and Ashtami

The new moon and the eighth tithi are classical days for fierce protective forms of the Mother.

Navaratri

Nine nights of Chandi worship align naturally with the nine-fold Navachandi recitation at the heart of this homa.

Bharani and Ashlesha nakshatras

These stars are traditionally held suitable for protective and boundary-setting rites.

Nishita kala and Rahu kalam

The deep night watch and the Rahu portion of the day are long used for Pratyangira upasana; our priests fix the muhurat by your sankalpa details.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Pratyangira Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

After it arrives

How to wear your energised Pratyangira Yantra

The energised yantra is carefully rolled and sealed inside a sacred silver amulet before shipping. Wearing it is itself a small ritual — and even its timing is set for you personally.

Our astrologer marks the auspicious date and time to wear the yantra according to your birth details — sent to you in the email carrying your shipment's tracking number.

03

Who is invoked

Pratyangira — the goddess of knowledge itself

Pratyangira is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Pratyangira Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

It is a Maha-tier protection rite in which the Chandi Saptashati is recited nine times, with each portion enclosed — samputita — within the mantra of Pratyangira, and offered into consecrated fire. The Chandi carries the Mother's victory over destructive forces; the Pratyangira casing turns that victory into a shield. The tradition treats this combination as one of its strongest observances against black magic, evil eye and psychic harm.
It is prescribed for protection from abhichara and sent harm, relief from drishti and evil eye, peace of mind when sleep and thought are disturbed, a protective sankalpa taken for the whole family, steadiness when rivals or litigation press in, and cleansing of homes and workplaces that feel heavy. The rite is offered in faith; no outcome is promised.
Devotees who sense persistent negative influence around themselves, their children, their home or their business. Families facing unexplained obstacles, repeated illness in the house, or sustained hostility from others also book the navachandi prathyangira mantra samputitha homam. You do not perform it yourself — our qualified priests perform it on your behalf at the Yagna Ashram, in your name and gotra.
Amavasya, Ashtami and the Navaratri nights are the most favoured. Bharani and Ashlesha nakshatras are also considered suitable, and Pratyangira is classically invoked during the night watch or Rahu kalam. When you book, our priests fix the muhurat from your birth details and the urgency of your situation.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra. Kalasha sthapana and the Navagraha invocation follow. The Chandi Saptashati is then chanted nine times with the Pratyangira mantra sealing each section. Ahutis are offered into the kunda with ghee, samidha, black sesame, red flowers, rice and the herbs prescribed for protective rites. The homa closes with purnahuti, raksha bandhana and deeparadhana. Every article is arranged by the ashram — you need only send your details.
Book online from any country. Send your name, gotra and birth star with your sankalpa. Our priests perform the homa at AstroBhava's Yagna Ashram in Coimbatore and telecast it live to you, wherever you are. Prasadam and an energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide at no extra cost.
