The Ritual and Its Weight

The Hanuman Homa is a fire offering to Hanuman, the deity the tradition turns to first when something unseen presses on a household. Ghee, sesame, vada, betel and specific herbs are offered into the kunda while the Hanuman mantras and Sundara Kanda verses are chanted over the flame. Your name, your nakshatra and your gotra are spoken into each round of offerings, so the rite is tied to you and not to a general prayer.

Scripture places Hanuman at the boundary — he crosses the ocean, enters the enemy's city, and returns unharmed. That is why the hanuman homam is prescribed against evil eye, drishti, abhichara, psychic disturbance and the vague heaviness that settles on a home for no reason anyone can name. The tradition does not ask you to fight what you cannot see. It asks you to place a guardian at the door and go back to your work.

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम् । वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये ॥ Manojavaṁ mārutatulyavegaṁ jitendriyaṁ buddhimatāṁ variṣṭham । Vātātmajaṁ vānarayūthamukhyaṁ śrīrāmadūtaṁ śaraṇaṁ prapadye ॥ I take refuge in the messenger of Rama — swift as thought, rushing like the wind, master of his senses, foremost among the wise, son of the wind god and chief of the vanara host.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees who search for hanuman homam benefits are usually describing one of these situations. Each line is what the tradition prescribes the rite for.

A shield against evil eye

Offered when drishti is suspected — after sudden praise, public exposure, or an unexplained turn in a home that was running well.

Relief from abhichara

The rite is traditionally performed when a family fears black magic or deliberate harmful ritual directed at them, their home or their business.

Calm against psychic disturbance

Prescribed for restless nights, oppressive dreams and the sense of being watched or weighed down in one's own rooms.

Protection for the house and its people

The mantras are chanted for the dwelling itself — its doorways, its children, its elders and those who travel in and out of it.

Courage where fear has settled

Hanuman is invoked for nerve. Devotees book this when anxiety has begun to shape their decisions rather than their judgement.

Steadiness against hostile intent

Also turned to by those facing sustained opposition, sharp-tongued adversaries or long-running disputes that drain the mind.

Moola nakshatra

Hanuman's own birth star in the widely followed reckoning — considered especially potent for invoking his guardianship.

Hanuman Jayanti

The annual observance of his appearance, when the Sundara Kanda and Hanuman Chalisa are chanted through the fire ritual.

Chaitra and Margashirsha Purnima

Full-moon days on which protective rites for the household are traditionally undertaken, especially after a disturbed period.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Hanuman Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Hanuman — the goddess of knowledge itself

Hanuman is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Hanuman Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Hanuman Homa, also written hanuman homam, is a Vedic fire ritual in which offerings of ghee, sesame, herbs and traditional naivedya are made to Hanuman while his mantras and verses from the Sundara Kanda are chanted. Its significance lies in Hanuman's role as the crosser of boundaries and the guardian of Rama's devotees. The rite is invoked for protection — from evil eye, from abhichara, from psychic harm and from the unseen pressures that settle on a home.
The tradition prescribes this homa for a shield against drishti and black magic, relief from oppressive dreams and restlessness, protection of the dwelling and the people in it, courage in the face of fear, and steadiness against hostile intent or prolonged disputes. AstroBhava does not promise outcomes. We perform the rite exactly as the tradition lays it down, with your sankalpa spoken into the fire.
It is booked by anyone who feels the need for protection — households that sense negative energy, families after an unsettled stretch, people who suspect evil eye or deliberate harm, and those under sustained opposition in work or litigation. There is no restriction of age, gender or lineage. The homa itself is performed on your behalf by our qualified priests, so you need not have any ritual training.
Tuesdays and Saturdays are the weekdays sacred to Hanuman, and Moola nakshatra, Hanuman Jayanti and full-moon days are especially favoured. Once you book, our priests examine your birth details and the panchanga and fix the muhurat for you. If the matter is pressing, the rite can be scheduled at the nearest suitable window rather than waiting for an annual occasion.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachana, then the sankalpa in which your name, nakshatra and gotra are declared. Agni is invoked in the kunda and the Hanuman mantras, Hanuman Chalisa and Sundara Kanda passages are chanted through the offerings. Samagri includes cow ghee, sesame, rice, navadhanya, samidha of the prescribed woods, vada and betel, sindoor and specific protective herbs. The rite closes with purnahuti, aarti and prasadam. Devotees who look for a hanuman homam pdf telugu or a printed procedure will find the same sequence followed here.
Book online from any country on this page. Give your name, birth star and gotra, and choose the package shown in the panel — the hanuman homam cost and everything included is displayed there for your region, alongside related items such as a hanuman kavach price where offered. Your priests then perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram and telecast it live to you wherever you are. The prasadam and the energised yantra are couriered to your address worldwide, free of charge. You do not travel; the fire is kindled for you.
