A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. How to wear your energised Dasa Maha Vidya Yantra

The energised yantra is carefully rolled and sealed inside a sacred silver amulet before shipping. Wearing it is itself a small ritual — and even its timing is set for you personally.

Dip the silver amulet in raw milk or Ganga jal for an hour before wearing, then clean with normal water.

Ahuti

Ghee, white flowers, akshata and honey are offered in sequence with mantra — the offerings traditional to her worship.

Purnahuti

Dasa Maha Vidya is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

The Dasa Mahavidya are the ten wisdom-goddesses of the Shakta tradition: Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari (Shodashi), Bhuvaneshwari, Chhinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamala. Each is a complete form of the one Shakti, revealing a distinct face of reality — time, sound, beauty, space, sacrifice, courage, detachment, stillness, speech and abundance. Worshipping them together is considered the fullest approach to the Divine Mother.

In South Indian matching practice, kootu dasa (also written kuta or koota dasa sandhi) refers to examining the running and forthcoming dasa-bhukti periods of both horoscopes side by side, rather than the porutham count alone. Astrologers look at whether the two charts enter difficult period-junctions at the same time in the early years of marriage. It is one input among many; a qualified astrologer reads it against the whole chart.

Classically, marriage is expected in the dasa or bhukti of the 7th lord, the 2nd or 11th lord, Venus, or a planet occupying or aspecting the 7th house, provided Jupiter's transit supports it. There is no single period that suits everyone — the answer depends on your lagna, the strength of the karaka, and the Navamsa. Please have your own chart read rather than applying a general rule.

Blue sapphire is prescribed only when Saturn is a functional benefic for your ascendant and is reasonably placed; for several lagnas it is advised against. Shani Mahadasha by itself is not a reason to wear it. Consult an astrologer who has your birth details before adopting any gemstone. Homas and mantra remedies are followed by many as they carry no such conditions.

Scripture prescribes the dasa maha vidya homa for shielding from drishti and abhichara, stilling hostile intent, clearing heaviness from a home or workplace, steadying a fearful or restless mind, and removing obstructions that return repeatedly. Families also offer it for spiritual progress. The homa is performed as tradition directs; the fruit rests with the Mother.

Kalasha sthapana and the ten-fold avahana follow, each Mahavidya invoked with her bija mantra and yantra. Agni is kindled in the prescribed kunda and ahutis are offered Vidya by Vidya with ghee, samidha, black and white sesame, honey, red flowers, durva, guggulu, navadhanya, cloth and the dravya particular to each goddess. Purnahuti, the raksha bandhana of protection, aarti and Mantra Pushpam close the rite.
