What a Latcharchana is

Archana is the offering of the deity's names — each name recited with an offering of kumkum at the deity's feet. A Latcharchana carries this to its fullest prescribed form: one lakh, a hundred thousand names, offered in strict and unbroken count. Nine Vedic priests share the recitation across more than six hours, and the count is kept precisely — a lakh means a lakh.

The aradhana is offered to Goddess Chandi, the fierce and compassionate form of the Divine Mother — or, on request, to Goddess Lalitha. It is worship rendered directly to the invoked Devi: no fire stands between the offering and the deity. Your name, gotra, nakshatra and rasi open the ritual in the sankalpa, and every name of the lakh that follows is offered on your behalf alone.

Like every aradhana we perform, it takes place in the open ritual space of our own Yagna Ashram — never inside a temple sanctum, where Agama vidhi permits no filming — and is telecast live so you witness every moment. Before you book

Yes. The sankalpa names you — and, if you wish, up to five family members — and no one else. We do not combine devotees into a shared lakh, at any price, ever. A hundred thousand names are offered for your household alone.

By default the Latcharchana is offered to Goddess Chandi, the fierce and compassionate form of the Divine Mother. If your family tradition or your astrologer's prescription names Goddess Lalitha, tell us at booking and the aradhana is offered to her instead.

Nine priests share the recitation and the count is kept in the traditional manner, session by session, until the full hundred thousand is complete. The telecast shows you the ritual as it happens — the count is not an estimate, and the lakh is not an approximation.

Your muhurta is confirmed by email within 24–48 working hours of receiving your birth details. The recitation itself runs more than six hours, conducted by nine priests. If you are working to a deadline, tell us at checkout and our astrologers will find the earliest auspicious window.

The ritual is performed in full at its appointed muhurta whether you are watching or not — its completeness does not depend on your presence. A recording is made available to you afterwards, so no session of your lakh is lost to a timezone.
