Sri Vidya Homa

Also spelled Sri Vidya Homam

श्रीविद्या होम

The Divine Mother seated in the Sri Chakra, worshipped through fire — a rite for seekers who want their sadhana steadied and their heart turned inward.

  • Performed for you alone — never a group ceremony
  • Muhurta fixed from your own birth chart, confirmed within 24–48 working hours
  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

Sri Vidya is the innermost stream of Devi upasana, where the Goddess is worshipped as the Sri Chakra — the yantra that maps the whole cosmos and the whole of you. The Sri Vidya Homa carries that worship into Agni. Ghee, honey, lotus seeds, herbs and sweet offerings are given into the fire while the priests recite the Devi mantras, the Lalita Sahasranama and the Sri Sukta, so that the same geometry drawn in the yantra is built in flame.

Tradition treats this rite as a rite of refinement rather than of demand. It is taken up by those who have begun a spiritual discipline and want it steady, by those returning to practice after long years away, and by families who wish the Mother's presence held over their home. What the fire is asked for is clarity, devotion and the fitness to receive grace — the tradition calls this the purification of the seeker before the sadhana can deepen.

ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं श्रीमात्रे नमः Salutations to the Divine Mother, source of speech, of power and of abundance — may She be present here.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees come to the Sri Vidya homam for the inner life, not the outer ledger. These are the intentions the tradition attaches to it.

Steadier sadhana

Offered when japa, meditation or daily puja has grown irregular, and you want the discipline set back on its feet.

Devotion that deepens

The rite is prescribed to turn dry practice into bhakti — worship done with feeling rather than duty alone.

Inner quiet

Sought by those carrying a restless mind, as a prayer for stillness, patience and an unhurried heart.

The Mother's grace

Sri Vidya upasana is classically undertaken to place oneself and one's household under Lalita Tripurasundari's protection.

Clarity of understanding

Because Sri Vidya is knowledge itself, the homa is also taken up by students and teachers praying for grasp and retention.

A sanctified home

The energised Sri Chakra yantra couriered to you becomes the focus of your daily worship long after the fire has settled.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Lalita Tripurasundari Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Lalita Tripurasundari — the goddess of knowledge itself

Lalita Tripurasundari is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Lalita Tripurasundari Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

The Sri Vidya Homa is a fire ritual offered to Lalita Tripurasundari, the Divine Mother worshipped through the Sri Chakra. Sri Vidya is regarded as the most refined branch of Devi upasana, where the Goddess is understood as knowledge, sound and the structure of the cosmos itself. In the homa, that worship is carried into Agni — offerings are given while the Devi mantras, the Sri Sukta and the Lalita Sahasranama are recited. Its significance lies in purifying and steadying the seeker so that spiritual practice can deepen.
The tradition prescribes the sri vidya homam for spiritual growth, devotion, inner peace and the grace of the Divine Mother. Devotees take it up to steady an irregular sadhana, to soften a restless mind, to renew feeling in daily worship, and to place their household under Devi's protection. Because Sri Vidya is knowledge itself, students also offer it praying for clarity and retention. These are the intentions of the rite; the fruit rests with the Mother.
Anyone drawn to Devi may sponsor it. It is chosen most often by those already keeping some form of upasana — japa, meditation or daily puja — who wish it strengthened, and by those beginning a spiritual path and asking for guidance at the start. Families offer it for peace in the home and for the wellbeing of children in study. You do not need any prior initiation to have the homa performed on your behalf; our priests carry out the ritual duties and recite the mantras in your name.
Fridays in the waxing fortnight, Pournami days, Panchami tithi, and the nights of Navaratri are the classical windows. Magha Pournami, observed as Lalita Jayanti, and Lalita Panchami during Sharada Navaratri are especially favoured. Our priests choose the muhurat from your birth details and the Devi calendar, and confirm the date and time with you before the ritual begins.
The priests begin with achamana, Ganapati puja and punyahavachana to purify the space, then take the sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra. The Sri Chakra is installed and worshipped, and the kalasha is invoked. The homa kunda is prepared and Agni kindled. Offerings of ghee, samidha, honey, sugarcane, lotus seeds, red flowers, kumkum, navadhanya and sweet payasam are made with the Devi mantras, the Sri Sukta and the Lalita Sahasranama. The rite closes with purnahuti, aarti, prayers for peace, and the energising of your yantra.
