  • Free energised yantra, sealed in a silver amulet, shipped worldwide at no charge

The Ritual and Its Weight

The Lalita Sahasranama Homa takes the thousand names of Sri Lalita Tripurasundari — the hymn revealed in the Brahmanda Purana — and turns each one into an oblation. The priest speaks a name. Ghee meets the flame. Then the next name, and the next, until all thousand have passed through the fire. Chanting the Sahasranama is itself an old and beloved practice; offering it as a homa is the fuller form, where sound and fire carry the invocation together. This is why the lalita sahasranama homam is counted among the great Maha rites of the Sri Vidya tradition.

Each name is a facet of the Mother — her form, her weapons, her mercy, her seat in the Sri Chakra, her presence in the subtle body of the one who worships her. To hear them all in sequence is to be led slowly around the whole of her. Devotees turn to this homa not to fix one narrow problem but to reorder the inner life: to soften the heart, steady the mind, and place themselves in the current of her grace. It is a rite of devotion first.

ॐ श्रीमाता श्रीमहाराज्ञी श्रीमत्सिंहासनेश्वरी । चिदग्निकुण्डसम्भूता देवकार्यसमुद्यता ॥ Salutations to the Auspicious Mother, the great Empress seated on the glorious lion-throne, who arose from the fire-pit of pure consciousness and rises to accomplish the work of the gods.

Why Devotees Book This

Devotees come to the lalita sahasranama homa for what the tradition places at its centre — nearness to the Mother, and a quieter inner weather.

Deepened devotion

A thousand names, heard in order, draw the heart toward the Mother in a way single-mantra worship rarely does.

Inner stillness

The Sahasranama is prescribed for calming an agitated mind and settling the emotions that scatter it.

A rite of grace

Sri Vidya holds Lalita as the source of anugraha — grace freely given. This homa is the traditional way of placing yourself before it.

Support for sadhana

Practitioners of japa, meditation or Sri Chakra worship offer this homa to strengthen and purify their ongoing practice.

Purification of the inner field

Fire is the traditional purifier. Names offered into it are said to clear the accumulated heaviness the mind carries.

Auspiciousness in the household

As Sri Mata, the Mother is invoked for shreyas — general wellbeing and abundance in the home and its people.

What a Maha Homa is

Not every fire ritual is performed at the same scale. A Maha Homa is our largest form. This is what that means.

Performed at full scale

More priests, and a fire that burns for as long as the rite itself requires rather than a shortened sitting. The exact figures for this rite are stated with its price above.

Chanted complete

The whole sequence the rite calls for, in unison, never a representative portion of it and never chanted in rotation.

Telecast entire

Every minute, from the sankalpa in which your name is spoken to the final aarti. Nothing is performed off camera.

A Maha Homa is performed for one devotee and their named family, exactly like any homa we conduct. What the scale changes is the weight of the offering, and it is reserved for the intentions that warrant it.

Book your Lalita Sahasranama Homa

One rite, one price

There is nothing to choose. Unlike most of our homas, the Lalita Sahasranama Homa is not offered at several priest counts. It is performed one way, as the rite requires — 5 priests, 5 hours — with the free energised Vishnu Yantra sealed in its silver amulet, the live telecast, and free worldwide delivery of your prasadam all included in the one price.

Sacred Timing

The Mother's rites follow the moon and the days sacred to Shakti. These are the openings the tradition favours for the lalita sahasranama homam.

Fridays

The day of Shakti worship. Any Friday is fit for the Sahasranama, and Fridays in the bright fortnight are held especially fine.

Full Moon (Pournami)

The Mother's own tithi. Pournami — and above all the Chaitra full moon, Lalita Jayanti — is the classical day for this homa.

Navaratri

The nine nights of Devi worship, when Shakti rites carry their fullest weight. Many devotees book for a specific day of the nine.

Your birth star or Lalita Panchami

Devotees also choose their own nakshatra day, or Lalita Panchami in Ashwina, when Lalita is worshipped by name.

What you receive

The sealing of the yantra

When your homa concludes, the yantra that stood in the fire is rolled and locked inside its silver amulet according to Agama vidhi — the practice by which the energies raised in a ritual are held within a consecrated object rather than dispersing. It is why a homa performed at our ashram can still reach a devotee ten thousand miles away: what the fire raised travels to you, sealed.

Personal sankalpa

Your name, gotra & nakshatra — for you and up to five family members.

Live telecast

Watch your own homa in real time from the ashram. Streamed openly on our YouTube channel by default — or request a private, unlisted telecast at checkout.

Free energised Lalita Tripurasundari Yantra, sealed in a silver amulet

Consecrated over three days — Jala (holy-water consecration with mantras), Prana (life force through pranayama & chants) and Jeeva Pratishta (awakened with 108 recitations & offerings) — then present through your homa, receiving the energies raised in the fire. Immediately afterwards it is rolled and sealed inside a silver amulet by Agamic rite, locking those energies within, and shipped to you with your prasadam.

Prasadam, shipped free

Sacred vibhuti, sandalwood powder & kumkum from your fire — delivered to any country.

48-Day Anushthan (optional)

Daily temple worship for 48 days — the 27 Nakshatras + 12 Rashis + 9 Planets — then sealed in a silver amulet of approximately 2–4 inches.

A note on sacred tradition

As per strict Agama vidhi, no videography is permitted inside the temple sanctum — this preserves the pure sacred energies and undisturbed divine focus of the ritual. The main homa is respectfully telecast live from outside the sanctum; the daily rituals of the 48-day Anushthan are performed with full devotion but are not telecast.

Homas are telecast openly on our YouTube channel so that devotees everywhere may witness the rituals — and because we believe you should be able to see our work before you trust us with yours. Your sankalpa names you and your family, so if you would rather your ceremony were not public, choose the private telecast option at checkout and it is streamed as an unlisted link visible only to you.

We state this plainly — transparency about what tradition forbids filming, and about what is public, is part of performing these rituals honestly.

Who is invoked

Lalita Tripurasundari — the goddess of knowledge itself

Lalita Tripurasundari is one of the Tridevi and the mother of the Vedas — the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, memory, speech, music and every art. She is depicted in white upon a white lotus, holding the veena, a book, a rosary and a water pot, with the swan of discernment beside her.

In this homa, her grace — Lalita Tripurasundari Kataksham — is invoked through fire with your own name and birth details spoken in the sankalpa.

Questions

Frequently asked

It is a fire ritual in which the thousand names of Sri Lalita Tripurasundari, from the Brahmanda Purana, are chanted one by one and offered into the consecrated fire with ghee and other oblations. Each name is a description of the Divine Mother — her form, her throne, her mercy, her place in the Sri Chakra. Chanting the hymn is a daily practice for many; offering it as a homa is its fuller ritual form, where mantra and Agni carry the invocation together. Within Sri Vidya it is regarded as a Maha rite of devotion and grace.
The tradition prescribes this homa for spiritual growth — deepening bhakti, steadying an unsettled mind, and placing the devotee in the flow of the Mother's anugraha. Sadhakas offer it to strengthen ongoing japa or meditation practice. Householders offer it for shreyas and general auspiciousness, since Lalita is invoked as Sri Mata, the giver of wellbeing. What the rite does is bring you before her; the tradition speaks of grace, not of guarantees.
Anyone drawn to the Divine Mother may have it performed. It is especially chosen by those following Sri Vidya or Devi upasana, by devotees who chant the Sahasranama regularly and wish to offer it in its fuller form, and by families marking Navaratri, Lalita Jayanti or a personal milestone. It suits anyone seeking inner quiet and a closer devotional life. There is no restriction of gender, age or lineage. Our priests perform it on your behalf, so you need no prior initiation.
Fridays and the full moon are the standard choices, being the day and tithi of Shakti. Lalita Jayanti in the month of Chaitra, Lalita Panchami in Ashwina, and the nights of Navaratri are the most sought-after occasions. Devotees also select their own birth nakshatra day. Once you book, our priests fix the muhurat from the panchanga and confirm the date and time with you before the rite.
The priests begin with sankalpa in your name, gotra and nakshatra, followed by Ganapati puja and punyahavachana. The kunda is prepared and Agni invoked with the prescribed rites. A Sri Chakra or Devi kalasha is established and worshipped. Then the thousand names are chanted in sequence, each offered with ghee and the samagri the tradition prescribes — havan samidha, kumkum, lotus and other flowers, honey, madhuparka, fruits and aromatic dravyas dear to the Mother. The rite closes with purnahuti, deepa aradhana, mangala arati and prayers offered in your name.
Book online from any country on this page. Give your name, gotra if you know it, and birth star; our team confirms the muhurat with you. Qualified priests perform the homa at our Yagna Ashram in Coimbatore on your behalf, and it is telecast live to you wherever you are — you do not need to travel. Afterwards, prasadam from the fire and an energised yantra are couriered to your address anywhere in the world, free of shipping cost.
